What Your Child Will Experience
Nature Exploration
Children spend time outdoors each day exploring the farm through guided walks and hands-on discovery. Campers will learn about lavender, native plants, pollinators, and the rhythms of farm life while developing respect and care for the natural world.
Creative Art
Art is inspired by nature itself. Campers will create with natural materials through projects such as paper making, flower pressing, suncatchers, mandalas, bird feeders, and lavender sachets. These activities encourage creativity, fine motor development, and self-expression.
Gentle Yoga & Mindfulness
Each day includes short, age-appropriate yoga and mindfulness practices. These moments support body awareness, focus, emotional regulation, and calm—woven naturally into the camp day through movement, breathing, and reflection.
Children thrive when they know what to expect. Each morning follows a similar flow:
Welcome circle & gentle yoga
Nature walk or farm lesson
Creative art activity
Snack & free exploration
Closing mindfulness circle

Frequently Asked Questions
What should my child bring each day?
Please send your child with:
A water bottle
A healthy snack
Closed-toe shoes suitable for walking on the farm
Sun protection (hat, sunscreen applied at home)
Weather-appropriate clothing that can get a little messy
We recommend dressing children in layers and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty—campers will be exploring, creating, and playing outdoors.
What is the weather plan?
Lavender Kids Camp is primarily outdoors, but we understand summer weather can change.
We will still meet in light rain and use covered or sheltered areas when needed.
In cases of severe weather, activities will move to a sheltered space or be adjusted for safety.
Families will be notified in advance if weather requires any changes.
Will my child be outside the entire time?
Most of our time is spent outdoors, but activities naturally shift between sunny, shaded, and sheltered areas. We build in rest, shade, and water breaks throughout the morning.
Are snacks provided?
Families are asked to provide a nut-free snack each day. Campers will have a designated snack time during the morning.
What about allergies or special needs?
We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment. Please share any allergies, medical needs, or important information during registration so we can best support your child.
How are children grouped by age?
Activities are designed to be developmentally flexible. Campers may work together as a group or in smaller age-based groups depending on the activity.
What is the staff-to-child ratio?
We maintain small group sizes to ensure children receive individual attention and feel safe, supported, and connected.
What if my child is new to yoga or nature-based activities?
No prior experience is needed. Yoga and mindfulness practices are gentle, playful, and age-appropriate, and all activities are guided with encouragement and care.
Will my child bring anything home?
Yes! Campers will bring home nature art projects, lavender creations, and special keepsakes from the week.
How will parents receive updates?
Families may receive email updates or a recap during or after the week sharing highlights from camp.
